Summer is winding down, but many Americans say ice cream is hot. An online survey by Mars Ice Cream found nearly two-thirds of Americans scream for ice cream in the summer.
Indulgence, novel flavors and creamy textures motivate 47 percent of U.S. ice cream consumption. Ice cream beat out other summer favorites like pie, burgers, hot dogs/brats and ribs.
The survey found 18 percent of American adults enjoy their ice cream in the car while on the go. At 48 percent of respondents, the most popular place for millennials to eat ice cream is in bed while watching TV.
