What’s old can be new again

Publix is part of our customers’ traditions, helping to create lasting memories of good times with family and friends.

We each have our own special customs or traditions, but many are similar, too — regardless of what family you’re part of. Those traditions may include having turkey for Thanksgiving and giving gifts at Christmas. Other customs include special decorations, cooking with your family or just being together.

Regardless of your personal traditions, many of them involve food, and that’s where Publix
plays an important role. This is a busy time of year for our customers. They depend on us to help them be the stars of their special events. And for so many of our customers, those special events are part of a tradition they’re passing on to their family and friends. Our products and services allow them to celebrate the way they want.

I think about my own family’s traditions this time of year and hope my children continue to pass our customs down to their children. For us, everyone comes together at my house on Christmas Day. Since my children were small, it’s the only time all year that I cook a rib roast on the grill. Today, my adult children, nieces and nephews still come when possible. It’s been a tradition for me, and it’s become one for them, too.

Some of your Publix family shared their traditions with Publix News Online. I hope you’ll take time this year to pass along a tradition or start something new.
