The Great Place to Work Institute and Fortune named Publix among the 20 Best Workplaces in Retail.
The list is a best-of-the-best ranking based on surveys completed by more than 45,000 employees in the retail industry on how frequently they experience behaviors that create a great workplace like quality of benefits and opportunities for advancement.
“Being ranked on a list based on associate feedback is a great compliment,” said CEO Ed Crenshaw. “I’m happy to know our associates think Publix is the best workplace, because I think so too.”

Publix ranks among the top 10 simple brands
Siegel+Gale’s Global Brand Simplicity Index surveyed more than 12,000 consumers in eight countries to rank brands according to their perceived simplicity and the overall simplicity rating of a brand’s industry.
The index claims the greatest brands make life simple by delivering what customers want and simplifying their experiences. These brands win customer loyalty, drive business results and create value for shareholders.
Publix ranked third in the index behind Google and Netflix, and was the only traditional grocery store to make the top 10. The index recognized Publix for customers’ and industry insiders’ praise of shopping convenience, superior store design, consistent quality and attention to customer service.
