Feel better with these prescription discounts

Did you know you can get discounted — and even free — medications at Publix? Check out the programs below and ask about them the next time you visit your Publix Pharmacy.

Associate Prescription Discount Program
Associates and their household family members can save as much as 60 percent on medications when they take advantage of the Associate Prescription Discount Program. Brand and generic prescriptions are included, and in most cases, the savings off the regular retail prices are substantial. Also, more than 130 generic medications are available for up to a 90-day supply for just $9. To take advantage of the program, provide your 8-digit personnel number to your pharmacist when setting up your prescriptions.

Diabetes Management System
This program helps associates and customers living with diabetes manage their medications, compliance, education, monitoring, nutrition and exercise. The program offers up to a 90-day supply of the diabetic medication metformin (500 mg, 850 mg and 1000 mg) for free, as well as an online library of diabetes-related content and an e-newsletter with recipes and special offers.

Free Oral Antibiotic Program
Associates and customers can get the following antibiotics, up to a 14-day supply, for free when they have a prescription.

  • amoxicillin
  • ampicillin
  • ciprofloxacin (excluding ciprofloxacin XR)
  • penicillin VK
  • sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim (SMZ-TMP)

Other free medications
Associates and customers can get 90-day supplies of amlodipine with a prescription for the medication. Amlodipine is commonly used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain.

Lisinopril (up to 90-day supply), an ACE inhibitor used to prevent, treat or improve symptoms of high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, diabetes and certain chronic kidney conditions, is also available to associates and customers with a prescription.
