Safety Award
The Safety Award recognizes a team of associates who consistently strive to make their facility a safe place. Publix evaluated several KPIs, including incident frequency, cost rates, percent improvement over last year and how each location proactively manages safety. For their contributions to safety, each associate at the winning facility receives a safety award lapel pin, and each location receives a plaque and $500 to host a facilitywide celebration of this recognition.

Operational Excellence Award
The Operational Excellence Award recognizes the facility with the best overall performance in safety, product quality, facility culture, continuous improvement, financial results and significant accomplishments. The management team from the winning locations and a guest attend a dinner, and each location receives a plaque and $500 to host a facilitywide celebration to commemorate their achievement.
