At its annual meeting, United Way of Central Florida recognized Publix for its contributions to the largest fundraising amount in the agency’s history.
Manager of Associate Services Greta Dupuy (right) was named Employee Coordinator of the Year, while Vice Chairman Barney Barnett (left) and President of Publix Super Markets Charities Carol Jenkins Barnett (not pictured) received the Philanthropist of the Year award.
“It’s wonderful to live in this community,” said Barney during the presentation. “I know Mr. George would be very proud of you all.”
In 2015, Publix associates raised $33.4 million. Combined with a $25.3 million match from Publix Super Markets Charities, our total contribution was $58.7 million during the 2015 – 2016 United Way campaign.
