Isn’t it great to be Publix!
We’re expanding in existing and new markets at times when many other companies are not growing or are having layoffs. We’re opening new stores and expanding our warehousing and manufacturing facilities.
Growth like that requires two things:
- Investing in our associates. We care about our associates, and we know you are the key to furthering our culture and taking care of our customers. That’s why we focus significant efforts on providing you with time to participate in regular training. We want to make sure you are knowledgeable about the company you own, the services we provide and the products we sell.
- Hiring new associates. When new associates become part of the Publix family, we want them to learn our culture and service standards as well as the technical skills they need to do their jobs.
With our growth comes the chance to take advantage of new career opportunities. It’s important to have associates who are ready to fill any openings we have whether from retirements to opening new markets or transferring into critical needs jobs.
Right now, we currently have openings in our highly seasonal areas like the Florida Keys and Panhandle, and when you make a move like that, additional promotional opportunities may be available faster than in other markets.
