That’s right! The Publix Super Markets Charities’ Matching Gift program, which matches your financial gift to a qualifying school of your choice, can now be accessed through PASSport.

Say good-bye to printing and mailing forms — with the move to PASSport, you can access publixcharities.org to start the process of matching your gift.

This is how it works:

1. Make a gift to any qualifying school of your choice — includes public and accredited private schools (K-12), colleges and universities in the U.S. that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to private schools will require a copy of their Certificate of Accreditation.
2. Log in to PASSport > Community > Give > Matching Gift. From there, you can register or log into publixcharities.org.
3. Fill out and submit the matching gift form online.
4. Receive a confirmation number and instructions to provide the school, so the school can claim the matching gift.
5. Once Publix Super Markets Charities confirms the school has received your gift, they will send the matching check. Whether you’re giving back to your alma mater or supporting your child’s or grandchild’s school, you can designate not only the school, but also the purpose of the gift — for general educational purposes or a specific department, program or scholarship — and our matching gift will be designated for the same purpose.

Your gift of $25 or more will be matched 100 percent, up to $5,000 in one year or $10,000 over two years, and up to a companywide annual total of $1 million.
