Save the date for Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Show your child what you do when you bring them to work Thursday, April 26.

At Publix, we’re known for offering premier service to both our customers and our communities. This year’s theme — Service — encourages students to seek out opportunities to make a positive change in the lives of others through small acts of service.

This event gives your child, age 8 – 18 the opportunity to see you in action. By participating in Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, students will learn why Publix is a great place to work and how our culture of service influences everything we do. They can also take part in Publix News’ annual contest.

Middle and high school students are asked to write a brief essay (100 – 150 words) detailing how their acts of service can have a positive impact on the community. Please submit articles on lined paper using blue or black ink.

Elementary students are asked to draw a picture, using colorful markers or crayons, about how the service of Publix associates has a positive impact on others and the community. Drawings should be on an 8½ by 11-inch sheet of unlined, white paper.

On the back of the entry (in pencil), please include the child’s name and grade, and your name, job class and store number or department name. Please do not use a store stamp. To be considered, entries must be received by May 10, 2018, and they cannot be returned.

Children can work on their entries during the day of their visit, and one entry and runner-up in each category will be featured in an upcoming issue of Publix News.

Send entries through company mail or U.S. mail to the following address:
