Digital coupon customers tend to spend more at the store

Several studies recently reviewed trends related to coupon use. One study found more than 50 percent of price-conscious consumers use coupons more than they did five years ago.

Digital CouponResearch from http://www.coupons.com/ shows 59 percent of consumers who browse Digital coupons plan to visit a grocery store within two days, and 43 percent plan to shop within the next 24 hours. Another study found digital coupon users spend 42 percent more on groceries annually — about $4,295 — compared with the $3,035 spent by customers who don’t use them. In addition, digital coupon users make 25 percent more shopping trips annually and spend 13 percent more each time on grocery purchases.
