We’re showing the next generation how to do business — the Publix way! Kids are invited to tag along Thursday, April 25.
This year’s theme is Workforce Development For All. To support this year’s theme, we will encourage students, ages 8 – 18, to think about teamwork in the workplace and participate in the annual Publix News contest.
To participate in the Publix News contest, middle and high school students are asked to write a brief essay (100 – 150 words), detailing how teamwork helps make Publix a great place to work. Essays should be submitted on lined paper using blue or black ink.
Elementary students are asked to draw a picture, using colorful markers or crayons, illustrating how teamwork helps make Publix a great place to work. Drawings should be on an 8½ by 11-inch sheet of unlined, white paper.
On the back of your student’s entry, please write (in pencil)
- the child’s name and grade
- your name
- your job class and
- your store number or support department name. Please do not use a store stamp.
To be considered, all entries must be received by Thursday, May 2, 2019. Submitted items cannot be returned.
Students can work on their entries during their visit, and the best entry and runner-up in each age group will be featured in an upcoming edition of Publix News.
Send entries through company mail or through U.S. mail to the following address:
