Plato’s Path: June 2019

Where will Plato go next? It’s up to you! Take Plato along on your trek across the globe. Snap a picture with Plato on a nature trail, at the top of a mountain or working on his tan at the beach. Send us your photos for a chance to be featured!

Thankfully, dinosaurs don’t need passports. To take Plato along for the ride, download and print your own Plato or find a paper Plato in your Publix Communication Center. Then, snap a pic and send it to corporate.communications@publix.com. Be sure to include your name, work location, and photo caption.

June Week 4

June10

Who doesn’t love good music, eh? Plato danced his way through the Vancouver International Jazz Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia, and worked up an appetite for some of the city’s delicious treats.

June11

Plato headed to Great Salt Lake State Park, near Salt Lake City, Utah. Great Salt Lake is part of prehistoric Lake Bonneville, which formed 10,000 to 30,000 years ago. Plato remembers visiting when he was a young dino.

June12

It would take a long time to walk from the North Rim to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. The two destinations are only 10 miles across from each other, but it’s a 220-mile drive to get around the canyon!

June Week 3

June7

It’s always been on Plato’s bucket list to moonwalk on the moon! Luckily, his friends at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, hooked him up with a ride fit for traveling the galaxy.

June8

Niagara Falls borders New York and the Canadian province of Ontario. With the attraction totaling 167 feet tall and featuring three drops, Plato now understands the “fall” in waterfall.

June9

Plato worked on his tan during a cruise to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.

June Week 2

June4

Catch a wave, and you’ll be sittin’ on top of the world. Plato always thought he’d be a great backup singer for the Beach Boys, but he’ll settle for visiting Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.

June5

Why not celebrate with a “brunch” of friends? Plato and his pals had a fun meal together in Sarasota, Florida.

June6-v2

Dinosaurs “donut” worry about a thing on vacation! Plato visited friends of all species at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

June Week 1

June1

Double the Plato means double the fun! Plato and friends celebrated Mother’s Day at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn in Orlando, Florida.

Pic 2

This dinosaur loves anything green. Plato visited the world’s largest pistachio in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The 30-foot pistachio sculpture is located in PistachioLand, home to a 111-acre pistachio orchard and vineyard!

June3

Plato teamed up with the Publix soccer team at the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony in Orlando, Florida.
