Why did you want to be part of your GreenWise Market’s opening team?
Prepared Food Manager Will Belanger: After hearing a GreenWise Market was opening near me, I immediately checked out the existing location in Lakeland. After spending some time shopping and absorbing everything, I felt it was something I needed to be part of. The concept, the products and the atmosphere are phenomenal.
What drew you to the new concept?
Assistant Prepared Foods Manager Jonathan Wilton: What initially drew me to the GreenWise Market concept was the larger selection of organic products and our devotion to sustainable and responsibly sourced seafood. I am very conscious about where my food comes from, how it gets to us and if it was sourced in an earth-friendly way.
Assistant Prepared Foods Manager Alyssa Christian: Watching the construction crew build the store early on really made me feel like I was part of something different and fresh. The design immediately draws you in!
Store Manager Jennifer Redmond: As a proud Publix owner for 28 years, to be selected for this unique project was a fantastic way to combine my vegetarian lifestyle and passion for helping customers and their unique needs.
What is your favorite thing about GreenWise Market?
Customer Service Manager Jake Noland: My favorite thing about GreenWise Market is how we engage the community through our event calendar, and how we promote local and state products to bring us all closer together!
Assistant Customer Service Manager Vanessa Scholz: My favorite thing about GreenWise Market is our POURS experience zone and all the awesome drinks available to enjoy during your shopping trip.
What do you hope to see as your store grows?
Assistant Grocery Manager Travis Kundivich: I hope to continue to see our bond and connection grow to become more of a community than just a store.
Produce Manager Aaron Brown: I hope customers make GreenWise Market a weekly shopping trip that they love.
How has your community reacted to GreenWise Market?
Assistant Store Manager Blake Blumenthal: Our community has been nothing short of excited to see a GreenWise Market open near them. A lot of customers have used the phrase “Welcome to the neighborhood,” which makes us feel really welcomed when serving them.
Grocery Manager Anthony Disciascio: Our customers love the experience — like being able to order one of the endless drink options at POURS and then shop throughout the store. Most customers love our two seafood and meat cases. Our FINDS department has also received a ton of positive feedback!
Meat Manager James Comon: The community loves the store. So many of our customers love the idea of stopping by POURS and picking up a glass of wine to enjoy while buying their favorite products.
Assistant Meat Manager Christina Callahan: Customers have been really excited about the in-house made sausage and bacon, as well as the TurboChef in seafood. This special microwave helps quickly cook the seafood evenly without sacrificing taste.
Tell us a story about a customer interaction that showed you what makes GreenWise different.
Assistant Produce Manager Tomi Kordic: I had a vegan customer ask if we will carry bulk nutritional yeast and other vegan items most people don’t know about. I was able to show her our options in grocery, and she was very happy I knew what those items were. A lot of very health-conscious customers with specific diets will be shopping here.
