Aaron Devore, Business Development Director of Traditional Deli

Aaron started his Publix career in 1993 as a deli clerk. Since then, he’s held a variety of positions, including deli manager, deli buyer and deli retail coordinator for the Miami Division. In 2019, Aaron was promoted to his current position.

What’s something about you that people may be surprised to learn?
My life revolves around my three kids and their travel baseball schedules. I also have an 80-pound German shepherd we named Tebow after the Florida Gator football star Tim Tebow.

Publix Deli Buffalo Style Chicken Breast Dip with GreenWise Tortilla Chips

What is the best career advice you received?
Learn everything you can and be ready because so many opportunities at Publix arise when you least expect them.

Pizza! I am a pizza connoisseur and try the best pizza place in every city I travel to.

Train to run half-marathons

What do you think makes Publix a great place to work?  
The Publix culture of taking care of our associates and respecting others. As we saw in 2020, the secret to success is our people. Publix people will always rise to the occasion.

You are at the gym. Is it arm day or leg day?  
Leg day!

What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Traveling to Cooperstown, New York, to see the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

What is your favorite movie? 
“The Shawshank Redemption”

What veggies do you put on your Pub sub?
Spinach, tomatoes, banana peppers, hot peppers, onions and green peppers

If you could meet anyone in the past or present, who would it be? Why?
Mr. George. I have worked for Publix for 27 years, and it has been a huge part of my life. I would love to sit in the same room with him and hear all his stories.

Favorite board game as a kid?
Monopoly

What are you binge-watching right now? 
“Stranger Things,” since my kids got me hooked

What’s your favorite tie color combination? 
I typically wear a suit with a green tie, or classic orange and blue for the Florida Gators.

What is your favorite Publix memory?
Seeing my team members be promoted. Watching the excitement and joy spread over their faces as it sinks in is the best feeling!
