Jamie began his Publix career in 1990 as a front service clerk in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He held several positions before being promoted to his current role.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A professional baseball player because I played all the way through high school. I’m a diehard Atlanta Braves fan.
What do you think makes Publix a great place to work?
The associates and the promote-from-within culture we have. You can start at any position and work your way up — a reality we see in our leadership. We are blessed to work for such a great company.
Favorite place to vacation?
The Florida Keys because I love boating, fishing and the relaxing lifestyle. There’s never a bad day in the Keys.
What’s your advice to someone just starting their Publix career?
Work hard to deliver your personal best every day and you can do anything. The opportunity to do more is for everyone.

Publix Deli Chicken Tender Sub — I’m a believer!

What’s your proudest moment?
There have been several, but my proudest moment was receiving the President’s Award in 2018. I’m also proud to wake up every day and have the opportunity to promote people and watch them take the next step in their careers.

I enjoy boating, golfing and spending time with my wife since we recently became empty nesters.

Never forget where you came from, strive to be great and never settle for complacency.

Atlanta Braves and New Orleans Saints because I’ve always admired Drew Brees
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Traveling to every baseball park and watching a game
