Sharing the local love

We take being part of our communities very seriously — which also means supporting some of the special businesses that bring out the flair and flavor of their area. Check out 4 of our local business buddies!

Johnson Nursery

Publix GreenWise Market (PGWM) first started working with Johnson Nursery when #1659, Lakeland, Florida, and #1674, Boca Raton, Florida, opened in 2019. Since then, all PGWM locations and even some Publix stores have started carrying Johnson Nursery’s unique succulents. Johnson Nursery has arranged these special plants in containers of all shapes and sizes, including holiday planters and beer cans to represent the different brews we use in our local beer brat program! Some of our stores have had the pleasure of meeting the owner and learning all about how to build planters and care for succulents.

Argyle Coffee Roasters

Argyle Coffee Roasters has been providing #1696, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with our traditional and decaf brew since the location opened earlier in 2021. All coffees roasted and distributed by Argyle are single-origin and specialty grade, so customers can trace exactly where the beans originated. Since both PGWM and Argyle care about customers having a positive experience, Argyle associates came out to #1696 to train our POURS associates on how to prepare the beans and make the coffee so that every cup is the best product each and every time.

Born & Bread Bakehouse

At #1659, Lakeland, Florida, pastries, breads and granola from Born & Bread Bakehouse are delivered fresh every Saturday and Sunday morning. We also order extra loaves of the bakery’s sourdough bread and use it as another yummy choice for our custom-made sandwiches. Born & Bread Bakehouse, a local bakery founded by a Lakeland resident, is a hidden gem located just outside downtown Lakeland.

Veterans United Craft Brewery

Owned by a former naval flight officer, Veterans United Craft Brewery provides #1701, Nocatee, Florida, with beers on tap. Not only is it veteran-owned, but 10 out of the 12 employees served our country in either the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army or U.S. Air Force. To celebrate Veterans Day in 2020, we hosted Veterans Brewery for a Tap Takeover and even had our very own veterans hop behind the counter in POURS to join them!
