Carrying forth her father’s legacy | In memory of Carol Jenkins Barnett

At the end of last year, we lost a dear member of our Publix family, Carol Jenkins Barnett. Carol was the daughter of our founder, George Jenkins. She had a passion for people, the community and our company.

Whether it was advocating to improve education — especially for young children — or serving the less fortunate, Carol made a lasting impact on so many. But her efforts didn’t stop there.

Carol’s love for Publix and her commitment to our company showed every chance she had. She would often talk about her father’s founding lessons and the impact this great company has on the people we serve — whether to each other, our customers or our communities. That desire to serve others continues to be top of mind for us today.

As we remember Carol’s life and legacy, let’s continue to keep her spirit alive by finding ways to give back to your community or recommitting yourself to provide premier service to others.

In memory,

Todd
