Assistant Deli Manager Feliberto Alicea, #84, Coral Gables, Florida, is a colorful character with a big heart. He loves life and enjoys being of service.
It has been 6 years since Feliberto moved to Miami from Puerto Rico. He was looking for more opportunities and a better quality of life. By joining Publix, he was able to meet both goals.
“I love the culture we have in the company. Compared to my previous job, everything is better. The benefits and way we treat our people and customers are amazing,” he said.
When asked what makes him passionate about his job, Feliberto says it’s the customers and his co-workers. He provides premier service to both.
“I like to interact with customers and offer them quality products,” he said. “As a manager, I always try to help the different departments at my store when I can.”
Feliberto treats his associates like family and has a warm and caring personality. He likes to cook heartwarming Puerto Rican dishes for his team. His specialty is pigeon peas.
Outside of work, Feliberto is passionate about photography and likes to take pictures of nature and architecture. He also enjoys playing the guitar and baking pastries.
Feliberto lives by the golden rule and tries to help people whenever an opportunity arises for him.
“Treat people the way you want them to treat you,” he said. “I make donations to the less fortunate. I don’t have a lot, but I consider myself lucky for everything I have.”
