Grab a chair and share some items from Publix this Thanksgiving

It’s that time of year when we gather with our family and friends to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast, share stories from days gone by and create new memories. Whether it’s a dish that tastes homemade but gives the holiday chefs a break or is part of a new or classic recipe, Publix most likely has a place on the table. From the bakery to the deli, from produce to meat, we’ll help make your Thanksgiving dinner a success!

The heart of the holiday

Our Citrus Herb-Roasted Turkey recipe will make you understand why it needs to be the centerpiece of your table. If turkey’s not your thing, we have other main-course options.

“Our goal is to always provide best-in-class service,” said Business Development Director of Meat Lee Revis. “Customers count on us to be there and to know how to assist them, whether it’s on the sales floor helping them select the right turkey or ham, putting those meal ideas together, or offering recipes.”

Relish the good times

Our deli department has everything from sides to cooked meals, making life easier if you need more free time. Thanksgiving meals are fully prepared; all you need to do is pick them up in-store or through curbside delivery and heat them up at home.

Add gravy and cranberry orange relish — 2 top seasonal sellers that taste homemade. And it doesn’t stop there! The relish doubles as the signature topping for the Turkey Cranberry Sub, something people ask for year-round.

Your sweet-tooth fix

Pumpkin pie is the hero of Thanksgiving, but our blue-ribbon-winning apple pie is another signature item. And while you’re in the bakery, don’t forget the freshly baked dinner rolls!

“If you’re looking for a high-quality, great-tasting dessert option, our apple pie will save you some time in the kitchen so you can focus on your turkey,” said Bakery Category Manager Ashley Jones. “To us, it’s all about the quality of our products and giving you the chance to get something freshly baked.”

Keeping traditions alive

Looking for a yummy splash of color to add to your table? Add some wholesome choices like sweet potatoes, fall squash and onions.

“We get excited about Thanksgiving. It’s a big holiday for us,” said Business Development Director of Produce Curt Epperson. “We stock up on all the fruits and vegetables that are the building blocks of traditions.”

We gear up months in advance, looking for the best value, quality and cost so customers’ favorites are ready when they want them. Items like acorn, butternut and spaghetti squash are popular ways to enjoy the flavor of the season and can even be an alternative to sweet potato casserole.

In addition to edible goods, you can pick up more seasonal items like cinnamon brooms and floral arrangements.

A cold treat for warm hearts

Make ice cream a delicious addition to your lineup of Thanksgiving sweets. Try one of our limited-time offerings like Pumpkin Pie, Eggnog and Santa’s White Christmas.

Rounding out the meal

“The week of Thanksgiving, it’s all about bringing friends and family together and enjoying some wonderful food and wine,” said Business Development Director of Alcoholic Beverages Chris Shaw. “Offering an array of wines like sparkling, red and white will give you plenty of pairing options and satisfy the many different palates of your guests.”

This year, we are featuring Chateau Ste. Michelle Indian Wells Chardonnay, which has creamy flavors of tropical fruits and butterscotch and pairs well with Thanksgiving turkey.
