Information Systems Senior Engineer Kelly Amig does a great job protecting our company against data breaches.
Kelly began her Publix story as a cashier in June 2000. Over the next 7 years, she held a variety of retail positions and helped open #1032, Riverview, Florida. While pursuing a degree in business administration, she interned with our accounting team, gaining insights into Publix’s operations before eventually transferring to support.
While in strategy support, Kelly oversaw several programs as a continuous quality improvement specialist. In 2012, she joined the technology team as a software quality assurance analyst, testing Publix’s point-of-sale application code. In her current role, she focuses on safeguarding sensitive Publix data and helps manage the data loss prevention program.
“Every day is different,” said Kelly. “There is a constant need to stay ahead of emerging threats while balancing tasks.”
Kelly believes that Publix is a great place to work because associates can grow, learn and evolve in diverse roles.
“As our technology team grows, responsibilities and advancement opportunities expand. Anyone with a strong problem-solving mindset can thrive on our team,” Kelly explained.
Publix has a supportive environment that can lead to incredible career possibilities in our stores or in support.
