Real estate assets team grows the company’s property portfolio

Real estate assets is 1 of 2 teams in the Publix real estate department. Its primary focus is growing and maintaining our company’s real estate portfolio, which includes vacant land for future development and existing shopping centers.

Associates in real estate assets

  • collaborate with many internal teams at Publix
  • lead the effort to acquire existing Publix-anchored shopping centers
  • strengthen relationships with current tenants
  • seek new tenants for vacant storefronts or shopping centers under construction
  • approve our tenants’ interior construction plans
  • enforce lease agreements and
  • work hand-in-hand with facilities services on day-to-day property management.

“We provide the tenants in our company-owned centers the premier customer service Publix is known for,” said Real Estate Assets Senior Manager Kelly Deese. “Just as our store customers know that shopping is a pleasure at Publix, the real estate assets team wants the businesses that rent from us to have a similar experience.”

Real estate assets provides well-managed environments for our customers and the businesses that call our properties home. The team makes sure that our company-owned sites reflect the high standards our brand is known for today and into the future.
