Our Publix truck drivers are vital to ensuring products arrive at our stores safely and on time. Every year, they showcase their skills and industry knowledge by participating in truck driving competitions across various states.
This year’s Georgia Truck Driving Championship was held May 8 – 9 in Buford, Georgia, where 7 of our truck drivers competed in different vehicle classes. Congratulations to Curtis Lambert for winning 3rd place in the tanker category.
In addition to the individual award, our truck drivers received the Large Team Award, which honors a team of 7 or more members with the highest overall score average. Publix was also presented with the Safety Award for winning 1st place in the private fleet division.
