John joined the Publix family in 2006 as a senior facilities engineer in the Lakeland Division. He became the director of industrial maintenance in 2021 and was promoted to senior director of industrial maintenance and industrial operations purchasing in 2024. A year later, he was promoted to his current position.

What’s your personal or professional motto? 
Say what you will do and do what you say. Be consistent and reliable.

What skills do you think have advanced your Publix career the most? 
It’s not so much a skill, but I take “other duties as assigned” to heart. It might not be in my job description, but I will help to get the task done.

What advice would you give to someone hoping to follow in your footsteps?
Keep after it and do what you can to help others. While you might not be in your ideal job now, it can be a steppingstone to that dream position.

What’s one of your favorite things to do when you aren’t working?
You can find me working in my garage, restoring cars.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?
I’d like to visit England for the Goodwood Festival of Speed and a Liverpool Football Club soccer game.

What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Yellowstone National Park and Alaska
