Staying active: Even the small things count

Physical activity is important for everyone. Even small amounts of activity, like gardening or grocery shopping, can have health benefits. It may reduce the risk of heart disease, dementia and Alzheimer’s, decrease anxiety and depression, improve mobility, and may help you sleep better.

Regular exercise helps to manage weight and strengthen bones and muscles. Despite these benefits, sometimes it can be hard to find the time to fit routine exercise into a busy schedule. Follow along with our 31-day calendar for tips to help you get going or move a little more. Download the calendar to get started.
