What made you join Publix?
I’ve loved Publix since I was a little girl. I have fond memories of shopping at the store with my mother in the summertime and enjoying a cookie from our amazing bakery! Growing up, I knew Publix had a reputation for being a great place to work and for treating its associates like family. Knowing this made me want to work for the company at an early age, as it resonated with my core values.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I really enjoy developing our associates and helping them reach their career goals. I also enjoy delivering technology solutions that enhance our customers’ shopping experience and our associates’ work experience.
Have you ever had the chance to meet Mr. George?
I had the opportunity to meet Mr. George when he visited my store. He took the time to walk up to me and shake my hand. It was at that moment that I immediately knew what a special company I was working for. As a leader, my goal is to make our associates feel as important to Publix as he made me feel that day.
As a leader, what qualities do you use to guide your team to success?
My focus is on premier customer service, whether it’s serving our store customers, business areas or my associates. Mr. George never knowingly disappointed any of our customers.
What’s 1 big project you were a part of at Publix?
There are so many I’ve worked on and enjoyed that I just can’t pick 1. I was part of replacing an old email platform with a more modern solution. I also worked on implementing the Transportation Management System and was a part of the prescription filling automation for the Orlando central fill pharmacy. Another great one was the implementation of the Publix Pharmacy app and status notifications .
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would say to be your own biggest fan of everything you do.
What was your biggest inspiration growing up?
Helping others and providing excellent customer service in my everyday life have been my greatest inspirations throughout my life.
If you could spend a day with anyone, who would it be?
My mother loved Publix as much as I do. She passed away before I really started to grow in my career. I would spend a day with her to share all my life stories and experiences since she’s been gone.
What’s your favorite Publix product?
It’s hard to choose just one, because we have so many great products. I do have a favorite meal — the GreenWise Filet Steak paired with the GreenWise Baked Potato dressed with butter and our GreenWise Sour Cream.
Do you watch any sports? If so, what team do you enjoy rooting for?
I love watching the Tampa Bay Bucs and Lightning play! Go Bucs and go Bolts!
Any hobbies you enjoy?
I really enjoy listening to music. I like to attend theaters and concerts to watch live music.
Do you have any pets?
I do! I have a beagle named Clementine. We call her Clemmie for short.
If you could travel anywhere in the world free of charge, where would it be?
My grandparents from my mother’s side emigrated from Greece. I would absolutely love to visit where they were from and meet my family who are still there.
