Our amazing Publix truck drivers play a crucial role in delivering products safely and on schedule. Each year, they demonstrate their incredible skills and knowledge in truck driving competitions throughout various states, showcasing their dedication and passion for their work.
This year’s Alabama Truck Driving Championships were held on June 5 in Pelham, Alabama, where 4 of our truck drivers competed in different vehicle classes.
Kyle Avery won 1st place in the flatbed class. He was also named the Grand Champion for being the highest scoring overall driver across all vehicle classes in Alabama. Ryan LaPoint won 1st place in the sleeper berth class. Reginald Nelson secured 3rd place in the straight truck class.
