About our fleet maintenance operations

Our technicians operate 10 fleet maintenance centers throughout 4 states in Publix’s operating area. They maintain a wide range of equipment in our fleet, including more than

• 900 tractors
• 4,500 trailers and
• 2,000 refrigeration units.

Our fleet maintenance team is divided into 6 subdepartments, each playing a crucial role in our operations. From fueling equipment at our on-site fuel islands to maintaining tire inventory and repairing in-store refrigeration units, each department contributes to the overall success of our fleet.

In 2025, our technicians completed 81,555 work orders! That’s a testament to both their dedication and expertise. Each of their successes is a result of their skills and our specialized training through the Fleet Technician Training program. This program equips every technician with the knowledge and certifications necessary to excel.
