One of Mr. George’s most important lessons was simple: to be there. From the very beginning, he believed in the importance of Publix people taking the time to show up for one another, to listen and to invest in others.

Our Publix family is made up of more than 260,000 associates, and it takes every one of us to make Publix a great place to work and shop.

Being there can look different depending on your role, but it often shows up in small yet meaningful ways — checking in on a co-worker, offering support, sharing knowledge or lending a hand when it’s needed most. Those moments matter. They build trust, strengthen our teams and help all of us achieve our personal best.
