Help your customers be the heroes of their holiday

Most of the time, when a customer begins to plan their holiday meal, the first question that comes to mind is, “What kind of meat will I serve?” And while many customers have traditions surrounding their holiday dinners, some are looking for new recipes or twists on their old favorites.

“There are so many options for our customers, and the key is finding out what their goals are,” said Category Manager Craig Fisher. “That’s where dynamic selling comes in.”

Meat associates can ask questions to determine a customer’s meal goals. How many people are they cooking for? Do their guests prefer a traditional meal, or are they open to new recipes? Do they have ideas for side dishes?

“Our associates have a huge opportunity to help their customers be the heroes of their holiday gatherings,” said Craig. “Customers can purchase their meat anywhere, but when they choose Publix, they can expect to get more than just a product. They can get special cuts, preparation tips, meal suggestions, and most importantly, associates who truly care about helping them create a memorable meal for their guests.”

A beef rib roast is the most popular choice for customers during the holidays, and a close second is Publix Premium Semi-Boneless Ham. This month, the meat department’s fresh recipe card features an Aprons recipe for a Garlic Herb-Rubbed Rib Roast. Take a peek at the recipe on the left, and recommend this holiday favorite to your customers and family.
