Publix News takes on a fresh, new look this year

0114PNewsGroup

The Publix News staff is bursting with excitement to let you in on a little secret. We’ve been working hard to learn more about our associates and incorporate the things you want to read about. The time is finally here to share with you the exciting changes this year will bring to Publix News!

Puzzles, trivia and contests

Readers of all ages enjoy a little bit of fun every now and then, and we want to make sure we’re giving you just that. This year, plan to see puzzles, trivia and contests sprinkled into each issue. You’ll be able to look up the answers and find additional information by visiting Publix News Online on www.publix.org.

Recipes

We all love food, right? Of course we do! And, almost as much as we love eating it, we love reading about it and learning new, interesting recipes. So, going forward, keep an eye out for a lot more cooking tips and recipes to take home to your family and recommend to your customers.

Memory lane

Our associates are the voice of our company, and we want to give you another platform to be heard. So, we’ll be taking a trip down memory lane with some of our service award recipients throughout the year. This new column will give associates with 5, 10, 15, all the way up to 50 years of Publix experience a chance to share their knowledge and special memories with you.

Fan mail

We receive letters, emails and phone calls from associates throughout the company seeking to recognize their co-workers or managers for excelling at strategic tasks. We can’t wait to share some of these inspiring stories with you — you may even see someone you know! Anyone can submit a fan mail story to Publix News by sending an email to corporate.communications@publix.com.

More exclusive online content

Look for stories with the Publix News Online logo. We provide exclusive content like pictures, videos or answers to puzzles and trivia that you can only find by visiting Publix News Online on www.publix.org. In the future, we will provide more and more exclusive online content, so be sure to check it out.

Bylines

Now you can put a name — like mine, Michele — with the story. Our stories will include our writers’ bylines, so you’ll know who wrote them.

And, we’re open to your feedback, too. Let us know what you think or what you want to read about by sending an email to corporate.communications@publix.com.
