Stores #1392 and #1425 achieved Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification. The store teams, along with Montgomery County and Clarksville Chamber of Commerce, celebrated this success with a green ribbon cutting ceremony.

Publix already has many sustainability programs in place, but these two stores went above and beyond. Both teams achieved 100 percent associate participation in direct deposit, encouraged associates to carpool and more.

“The Clarksville-Montgomery community is passionate about sustainability, and it’s an honor Publix was chosen for this recognition,” said District Manager David Fulmer. “I’m very proud of both stores for becoming green-certified and making sure our green efforts differentiate us from our competitors.”

Publix is the first retailer and grocer to earn this recognition.
