Technology takes us into tomorrow

Online shopping continues to grow, and that shows people are comfortable with doing more on the Internet.

Technology is a growing part of our business and our lives. We use it to make shopping easier and more convenient like with Online Easy Ordering. While it started with deli subs and sliced meats and cheeses, I’m proud to say we’re expanding into platters, deli turkey dinners and more.

By continuing to look at ways to use technology, we’re able to serve our customers better and with more accuracy. I’m pleased to say today we’re able help our customers in ways that were difficult to do before.

However, with the need to use technology more at work and at home, we also have to be more cautious about what we do and share in all aspects of our lives. In this month’s issue, you can read more about how to protect yourself personally when using social media.

Every quarter, more tips on how to keep information safe are posted at your location’s Publix Communications Center.

I hope you look at technology the same way I do — not as a replacement for our personal touches but an enhancement to the premier customer service we work hard to provide every day. Technology is great, but at the end of the day, Publix people make the difference. You care about each other and your customers; you pay attention to details many other retailers don’t, and you produce quality products we can all be proud of.
