Mr. George believed that building relationships made Publix stronger. When he founded Publix in 1930, he vowed to be there for his associates and customers.

To connect with his associates face to face, Mr. George frequently traveled to stores and support facilities. We continue this tradition as our leaders visit work locations across our company, listening to and learning from associates throughout the year and especially during June’s Be There Day.

If you have a chance to talk with visiting leaders on Be There Day or during another time of the year, tell them about your role. Be sure to ask questions to learn more about them and what they do at Publix. In these conversations, you might discover other positions or opportunities to grow your career and help achieve your personal best. There are so many different roles at Publix, and every single one is important to our company’s success.
