Committed to food safety

Todd Jones

Maintaining food safety is crucial to protecting our customers and the Publix brand.

When customers visit our stores, they expect our food to be of the highest quality and safe. It’s every associate’s responsibility to safely handle food for our customers.

You see, the relationship we have with our customers can change in a moment. We build the relationship through our premier service and food safety practices because it’s the right thing to do. But if we fall short, we lose the confidence of our customers, and our relationship suffers. It may only take one incident to lose a customer forever.

At Publix, we take food safety very seriously. Our customers don’t need to worry if their products are safe because we remain focused on food safety in our stores, manufacturing and warehouse facilities, and with our suppliers. We know by taking the right steps to protect our food, we’re doing what’s best for our customers and for Publix.

Keeping food safe helps us to protect lives, so it’s up to each one of us to be committed to each step of the process — from washing your hands frequently to preventing cross contamination. Your commitment to the processes we have in place will help us continue to protect the relationship with our customers by offering high-quality and safe food each and every day.

We’ve got this — for them.

Thanks for all you do.
