This year has been anything but normal, which makes celebrating as a Publix family even more important.   

Let me take a moment to say thank you for your efforts and recap some highlights of the last couple of months.

90th anniversary — 90 years of success is amazing. I’ve said it before, and you’ll hear me say it again. Publix is a strong, successful, associate-owned company that I’m proud to be part of. Thank you for what you’re doing today as it will pave the way for at least another 90 years of accomplishments and celebrations.

Great Place to Work Day — Taking a day to formally recognize what you do to make Publix great was special. I certainly appreciate everything you do to serve our customers and each other with a smile, especially during these difficult times.

Alleviating hunger — Last month was Hunger Action Month. Publix and Publix Super Markets Charities continued our efforts to provide needed support to local communities and families. As a food retailer, we can help the millions of Americans who aren’t sure where they will get their next meal. (Read more about Hunger Action Month).

United Way — You have always found a way to make a difference in your communities, and your commitment this year will continue to positively impact those served by United Way agencies for years to come.

As we enter the holiday season, the end of 2020 will feel like it’s coming quickly. I hope you will join me in taking a moment to reflect on everything you’ve accomplished so far. It has been incredible, and I look forward to what’s still to come.
