This is one of my favorite times of year because it’s when we purposefully pause and think about what we’re thankful for.

For me, I’m thankful for this amazing company that has offered me the opportunity to grow from being a front service clerk to becoming our CEO. I’m thankful for the many mentors along the way who have given their time so I could learn from them. I’m thankful to our Publix family — past and present — for continuing to keep us successful. And, of course, I’m thankful for my family, who is constantly there to support me.

I found a quote from motivational writer William Arthur Ward that sums up what it means to share your thanks: “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”

As we approach the end of the year, I hope you’ll join me in giving the gift of gratitude to someone who has positively affected your life.
