Being treated with dignity and respect was so important to Mr. George it motivated him to open his own grocery store.
And it’s still just as important to us today. That’s why we made it part of our mission statement: dedicated to the dignity, value and employment security of our associates. We understand the importance of building relationships, being open to ideas, creating an inclusive work environment and continuing to invest in you.
We believe it’s important for your voice to be heard — whether it’s through completing our annual Associate Voice Survey (AVS) or submitting an improvement idea. We make sure you have the tools to be successful by offering continuous training online or working alongside you. We invest in you through the benefits we offer and by improving the technology you use. We do all of this and more because we care about your success.
Each of us has a part in making Publix a great place to work. Even if it’s taking a few extra moments to connect with a co-worker who’s had a tough day or help a customer find just the right product. All those moments add up to something special, and that is the Publix difference.
So, let’s continue carrying on Mr. George’s legacy of treating each other and our customers better than anyone else can.
Thanks for all you do.
