We have a brand promise — a positioning statement that defines the relationship we want to create with our customers.
That promise says: Publix is the store that knows the most and cares the most about the products we sell and the people we serve.
To understand what that means, we have developed six qualities that help define our brand. They describe what we do, who we are, what it means to be Publix and what we should strive for. Last month, I focused on being smart. This month, let’s look at what simple means to us.
This trait is all around you. It’s in our store designs, merchandising standards, weekly ads and even uniform designs. We believe part of offering a pleasurable shopping experience is making sure our customers’ senses are not overloaded, but rather focused on what matters the most to them. We want to keep our high-quality products and friendly associates the stars of the store.
By executing on this key trait, we are respecting our customers’ time. Your skills allow us to keep it simple, because regardless of whether you work in our stores or support areas, you affect how our customers feel about their shopping experience.
Thank you for helping Publix stay true to who we are — servant leaders.
Thanks for all you do.
