Seafood Clerk Chelsea DeVries brings an incredible blend of energy, skill and kindness to #102, New Port Richey, Florida.
Chelsea has been with Publix for four years, serving as a cashier before transferring into her current role.
“I love everything about serving customers,” she said. “Whether I’m keeping products fresh or helping someone pick the perfect seafood, it’s one of the best parts of my day.”
Her team calls her a superwoman who can do it all. She brings her role to life with humor, the ability to lighten any moment and a constant smile. What makes her smile the most? “All the little, unexpected moments in retail,” she said.
Beyond the apron, Chelsea is a 5th‑grade teacher for students with different learning needs. She is also an award‑winning indie author. Her writing, shaped by her experience as a neurodivergent person on the autism spectrum, aims to help others feel seen and understood.
For Chelsea, inclusion means “everyone can be themselves and be accepted for their differences.” She believes open communication, collaboration and a little grace from her peers create the kind of support that allows her to do her best work.
Her story illustrates inclusion in action: When people are free to be their authentic selves, they don’t just rise to their own potential — they inspire others to rise with them.
