Chris has submitted almost 10 ideas to Idea Spot, a few of which have already been implemented. One of his ideas was to change the button on the pin pad which says “Otro” to instead say “Español” to avoid confusion when customers enter their Club Publix phone number.
“I always want to help improve processes for our associates and make the shopping experience easier for our customers,” Chris said. “Idea Spot provides a good platform for all associates to take ownership in our operations and share those ideas.”
Store Manager Nathan Johnson, #1684, St. Johns, Florida
Nathan has entered over 100 ideas and has seen several of his suggestions put into use to help Publix. In fact, he’s submitted so many ideas, he’s created a friendly rivalry with other managers to encourage them to send in more ideas!
Thanks to Nathan, Publix is reducing waste by shipping fewer warehouse tags to stores and not sending floor displays to stores that don’t have the space to display them.
“Getting associates more involved to voice their opinion or enter an idea gives them more say in the company,” Nathan said. “They share great ideas with me every day, and I always tell them to submit them to Idea Spot.”
