Immunizing Pharmacy Technician Purvi Trivedi, #1173, Panama City Beach, Florida, is living her dream of owning a home and working in a pharmacy.
Publix helped Purvi make that dream a reality.
In 2002, Purvi’s sister-in-law filed paperwork to sponsor Purvi and her husband, Rupesh, to move to the U.S. from Gujarat, India. For 14 years, Purvi and her husband patiently waited to come to the U.S. Finally, in 2016, Purvi and Rupesh moved to Florida and began working in a pharmacy as they did in India.
“I was worried that I would need to go back to college to get my pharmacy technician license to work in America,” said Purvi. “I’m thankful my path led me to Publix because they allowed me to get my license with their 6-month paid training program.”
Purvi started her career as a pharmacy technician at #1173. After she earned her license, she was promoted to her current role in February 2022. That same year, she became a U.S. citizen.
One year later, Purvi and her husband bought their 1st home.
“I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the opportunities that Publix has given me and the amazing culture in the workplace,” said Purvi. “No other workplace has ever treated me more like family. My team builds me up, celebrates my accomplishments and cares about my success.”
