Meet Pharmacy Manager Jennifer Kruppenbacher

Jennifer Kruppenbacher, #653, West Palm Beach, Florida, likes making a difference.

What made you want to work for Publix?
Publix was my 1st job. I started as a cashier, but I knew I was interested in the medical field. I later left and went to work at a different pharmacy retail chain, but I came back to Publix after a year. I’ve always loved Publix and its customer service values, friendly work environment and the support the pharmacy receives.

Why did you become a pharmacist?
I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I value the trust and relationships that I develop with my patients.

What do you enjoy the most about being a pharmacist?
One of the things I enjoy the most is teaching students in pharmacy school. I’ve been a teacher at Palm Beach Atlantic University for 18 years. I learn so much from my students and enjoy sharing what I’ve learned as a pharmacist with them.

How do you view the changes you overcame in your career?
Pharmacy has continued to change over time. Looking back, I can see how those changes and my adaptations have helped our customers, community and profession.

Who motivates you every day?
My family and faith in God motivate me every day.

What activities do you enjoy outside of Publix?
I love going to Pilates classes, spending time with my family and going to the beach to collect shells. For the past 7 years, I’ve also volunteered every week to cook and serve food to people facing homelessness in our community.
