What made you want to work for Publix?
I found the Publix page on social media. After reading the reviews, which were all good, I decided it was a company I wanted to work for.
Why did you become a pharmacy tech?
I was a grocery clerk for a little over a year, then I worked in replenishment for a couple of months. I was ready for a new challenge, so I looked at the job portal. The pharmacy specialist position with central fill was available, so I applied. After a couple of years, I became a pharmacy technician. It was simply a great opportunity to grow that I couldn’t pass up.
What do you enjoy most about being a pharmacy tech?
Everything. The job, the schedule and the people I work with are great. I also like being able to do my part to help customers get their prescriptions in a timely manner.
Who motivates you every day?
All our patients and my fellow associates. We’re making a difference. We try to do our best and give our all every single day.
What activities do you enjoy outside of working at Publix?
I love soccer, and I love to watch movies. My favorite movie is “Bait,” starring Jamie Foxx. It’s really funny!
