Providing premier service 1 order at a time

Dairy operations support associate Julie Zerilli has been with Publix for over 27 years. It didn’t take her long to figure out how far she could go with Publix as long as she had the motivation.

Since starting at the quality control lab in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Julie has been making a positive impression on everyone she meets. This continued when she transitioned to working in dairy processing in Atlanta, where she is responsible for fulfilling stores’ orders for milk, juice and tea. In addition to her positive demeanor, Julie is dedicated to providing premier service by doing her job as accurately and urgently as possible.

“It was instilled in me from the beginning that accuracy and urgency are very important, so I try to apply that to everything I do,” Julie said.

Assistant Controller Antoinette McMillan has been Julie’s manager since 2011 and describes her customer service skills as impeccable. She says Julie always goes above and beyond to provide premier service.

The start of 2022 was no different. With a winter storm on the way, Julie needed to prepare several store orders for the shipping department. Despite technical difficulties and an influx of phone calls, Julie worked diligently and made sure stores received everything they needed.

“She didn’t miss a beat,” Antoinette said. “She worked long hours that weekend and felt proud she helped make it possible for our customers to have the milk, juice and tea they needed for their families. Julie loves helping people, and I know that’s why she’s so successful when dealing with our customers.”

For her continual efforts to provide premier service, Julie is recognized as a My Publix, My Part difference maker.

“I’m not happy at the end of the day unless I meet my customers’ needs,” Julie said. “I try to create a game plan and follow it, even when challenges arise. The end goal is trying to make sure we get everyone taken care of.”
