When Customer Service Manager Renee Gold (pictured), #434, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, saw an unconscious woman in the restroom, she called 911 and started CPR.
Her call triggered an alert on PulsePoint, an app that notifies CPR-certified people of an emergency in a nearby location. Next door in the nail salon, Kamilla Soares, a paramedic school graduate, saw the alert and jumped into action. As soon as Kamilla arrived, she took over CPR from Renee until fire rescue arrived. Their quick actions saved the customer’s life, and both women were awarded the Palm Beach Gardens Citizen Lifesaving Award.
Great job, Renee and Kamilla!
