Everyone needs help to mature and grow as a person. Retail Maintenance Coordinator Esli Pino tries to live by his faith to become the best version of himself.
Esli joined Publix in 2017 in the Charlotte Division. He was born in Mexico and moved to Illinois when he was 8. He feels fortunate to work for such a fantastic company and believes it is a beautiful opportunity.
Esli is responsible for repairing and maintaining store equipment and systems across several stores. He also evaluates and provides guidance to maintenance contractors to ensure safe, timely, high-quality service.
“I love my work because you need to be resourceful and creative to tackle the different tasks,” he said. “There is no boring day. You always learn new things and new skills.”
While work occupies an important place in his life, the other parts are dedicated to his family and his faith. Esli’s family life plays a big role in keeping him balanced.
He loves playing pickleball (a combination of tennis, badminton and Ping-Pong) and soccer with his family on the weekend. And he gets inspiration from a key person — his wife. Esli looks up to her and respects her for being caring, open-minded and a great listener.
Esli also reads the Bible every day.
“Each of us needs to be accompanied on the road of life,” said Esli. “I turn to God — in my good and bad times — who is always there waiting for you to ask Him to give you a hand.”
Esli is very grateful for the support of his family and new opportunities to grow.
