When you’re ready for the next step in your career at Publix, adult education programs can help you obtain the basic skills needed to excel as you explore areas of interest within the company. You can choose to grow and continue to invest in yourself through many of the adult learning programs offered in your community. Programs include
- Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes — improve basic reading, writing or math skills
- General Education Development (GED) preparation classes — improve your skills in the five GED exam subject areas: writing, social studies, science, mathematics, and literature and the arts
- English as a Second Language (ESL) lessons — improve your basic understanding and use of the English language
- One-to-one tutoring — improve basic reading and writing skills, either as an individual or in small groups
- Conversational Spanish or conversational French classes — bridge language barriers, so you can communicate better with customers and fellow associates
So whatever career path you choose for yourself, remember it’s never too late to learn and develop skills that will increase your opportunities within Publix.
