Receiving holiday pay — can it get any better?

Our holiday pay is a gift to you in celebration of the holiday. So, as a way to show our gratitude even more, we are enhancing this benefit by removing the work hours requirement. 

Beginning this year, active associates with 90 days of continuous full-time service will no longer have to work at least 50 percent of the scheduled day before and after the holiday, as well as 50 percent of the holiday, if scheduled, in order to receive holiday pay for a Publix-paid holiday.

Publix-paid holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Associates looking to exchange New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July or Labor Day for another day off in the same calendar year will still need to work on the holiday.
