Over the years, our company has experienced incredible changes to the grocery industry, technology and to our stores. Mr. George was a brilliant businessman and a phenomenal leader and philanthropist. His lessons set the tone for our success, and with the help of our associates today, we’re keeping Mr. George’s spirit alive.

From surprising associates with promotions to shocking customers with free wedding cakes, it’s been an exciting year.

Although our anniversary celebration is coming to a close, these lessons live on with all of us. And while they each represent a different aspect of what makes us Publix, they all serve the same purpose. They remind us of what’s important. They remind us of what we stand for. They remind us to do the right thing. And as long as we continue to do the right thing, we can be sure Mr. George would be proud of his company.
