Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It’s Publix Super Dads!

Many of our associates call their dad a teacher, mentor, leader and family man — helping to create memories that last a lifetime. Fathers help us navigate through tough times and celebrate the good times. Their impact is undeniable when it comes to instilling the core values our associates live by today.

Publix News wishes all Publix dads a very happy Father’s Day. We recognize your dedication, support and guidance — both at home and at work. We thank you for being such good examples of hard work and determination, compassion and selflessness. While you may not actually wear a cape, you’re truly a super hero to us.

Happy Father’s Day!

Publix moms and dads

Publix News Live logoWe asked Publix associates to tell us what their mothers and fathers mean to them. Many associates credit a parent with the success they’ve found at Publix; others say their mom or dad is their best friend and confidant. My dad has been such an inspiration in my life for as long as I can remember. He continues to support me in whatever I choose to pursue. From when I was on the soccer field to encouraging me to do my best in school, my dad taught me so much that I hope to one day soon pass on to my children. I am thankful that I have him as a dad and couldn’t imagine having anyone else.

In my eyes, a model associate has to observe, follow and then execute. My father is the prime example of a person to do just that — perfectly. … He has sacrificed again and again over the years, for my sister Kasmine and me, just so we could have what we wanted. … He is our biggest supporter — from making sure we are alright to making sure that we value our work, encouraging us in all aspects. To this day, he continues to tell us how proud he is of us. My father is a true hero. I pray that I will be as well respected as he is as I get older and continue my journey through life. My daddy will always be the number one man in my life. Dad — I will forever and always love you!

Ever since I can remember, my father has always talked about his career at Publix and always spoke highly of the company. Following in my father’s footsteps was never my intent. However, when I was in high school, he helped me land my first job with Publix as a stock clerk. My experience in that role is what helped me realize that in fact, I did want to follow in my father’s footsteps and make Publix my career. My father has a very strong work ethic with a deep sense of loyalty to Publix. He takes pride in his role as a meat manager and his example has influenced my career and helped make me the manager I am today. His constant encouragement and guidance have always inspired me to take my career to the next level.
